Frequently Asked Questions

What's the cost of concierge care?

I want to give you an accurate estimate so that you can make an informed decision based on your specific situation.  So, I prefer to meet you, assess your needs and discuss costs with you then.

Our first meeting is complimentary because it's a time for us to see if its a match for us to work together.  Either way, you will leave that first meeting with clarity about next steps and care recommendations regardless of whether we work together or not.

What's the difference between concierge care and home health services?

A home health nurse will come and assess vitals and input those vitals into a system.

Conceirge care includes full coordination with your entire medical team, early health issue detection, dealing with unforeseen challenges in the healthcare system, caregiver management and communciation to ensure you or your loved one is monitered and intervention for emergencies is as immediate as possible.

What if my parent or spouse is resistant to having care?

Most people are.  I’ve been doing this for half a decade and find ways to intervene and communicate with patients in such a way that they will listen.

One of my gifts is knowing how to get along with everyone, form close relationships even people who come across as difficult.  I see through the difficulty and honor the person and meet them where they’re at in a way that allows them to receive what they need.

My family member has dementia, memory care issues and challenging behavior, can you still help them?

Absolutely.

Are you used to supporting families navigate difficult family dynamics?

Yes. It’s normal. And it helps having a neutral party (me) who is immersed in the day to day of your loved one’s care, managing the details and able to inform everyone what’s happening medically so you as a family aren’t burdened with piecing together details and the stress of coordinating care.

Do you take insurance or does Medicare pay for your services? What if I have long term care coverage?

My fees and services are not covered by insurance.  I do work closely with a caregiver agency and am happy to coordinate with them so that you can access the benefits of your long term care coverage to pay for caregivers.
